Setting Up/Breaking Down
Set up will begin promptly at 7:00pm. The first game will start by 7:15pm.
Early matches will go to rally at 8:55pm. Who ever has serve at that time may elect to receive at that time.
Late matches will begin at 9:10pm and will go to rally at 10:50pm.
Security will be lenient at closing time, but try to clean-up and leave by 11:10pm.
All equipment will be put in the box, poles hung up, and all tape removed.
No food or drink in the gym (except for water). Peddie was VERY SPECIFIC about this.
Ref Duties
Teams responsible to ref will work both courts. This should be easier on carpooling and teams will only work once every few weeks. If a ref fails to work a scheduled match, the responsible team will receive a loss for every game missed. The ref must start the game to prevent this penalty ( e.g., ref arrives during second game and the score is 1 to 0, his team will receive 2 loses to their season record).
Team No-Shows
Teams must have 4 players by the end of the first game or they will receive a loss to their season record. For every game that follows, that team must start 4 players or receive additional losses on a game by game basis. A team playing with less than 4 players are still qualified to play for record. For example, if a team has 3 players but wins 3 of the 4 games then their record for the evening is 3 and 5 (3 and 1 plus 4 losses) and the opposing team goes 1 and 3.
Playoff Refs
Any team that fails to qualify for the playoffs are asked to bring refs for the playoffs. Teams will receive a discount for the following season determined by the number of refs working.
