Match time:  Early matches start promptly at 7:10 and finish at 8:55.  Late matches start at 9:10 and finish at 10:50.

-There may be a few weeks where our match times will be shortened.  These weeks will be handled on a week by week basis.

-All matches are four sideout games to 15 unless otherwise noted.  Games must be won by two points if time allows with a cap at 17 points.  **No games are to be started with less then 10 minutes remaining in the scheduled match time!!***.

-If time runs out in the middle of a game, the game concludes at the scheduled

finish time (finish the play if the ball is still live).   In this event, the game does

not need to be won by two points.  If the score is tied at this time, the game will

resume until the next point is scored.

Time Outs:  2 per game/team; No time outs taken with less that 5 minutes left in the

Match.

Number of Players:  Teams must have a minimum of four players at the conclusion of the first game.  If there are less than 4 players, the team will forfeit all four games (unless the match is a three game match, in which case the team will forfeit three games).

-Teams must have at least two players to start the first game.  If there is only one player to start the match, there will be a one point per minute penalty assessed until the second player shows.  Again, at the conclusion of this first game, there must be at least four players or the entire match is forfeited.

Playing Area:  The entire ceiling is considered in play with exception to any basketball courts that are in the DOWN position.  The basket is considered the rim, backboard and main supports hanging down from the top of the rafters.

-If a basket it pulled up to the ceiling, any ball that hits it is still in play.  The exception to this:  If the ball hits the basket and travels into the opponent’s court, it is considered “out of bounds.”

-If a basket is hanging down, any ball that contacts the rim, backboard or supports (hanging below the gym rafters) will result in a replay unless the ball is:

a-      being directed into the opponents space

b-      not considered to be “realistically playable” by the referee.  The referee will have SOLE JUDGEMENT in determining this!

-The ceiling (rafters, vents, etc..) are in full play unless:

a-       the ball is being directed into the opponent’s court .

b-       the ball is not considered to be “realistically playable” by the referee.

-Any ball that contacts the court divider will be deemed “out of bounds.”
